Is 'Stranger Things' Soon Coming to an End?

June 17, 2019

All good things must come to an end, which has “Stranger Things” fans already anticipating the show’s final season. The exact run-time of the show has yet to be announced, but stars of the Netlflix series are adding their two cents about it.

While walking the red carpet at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and Finn Wolfhard (Dustin, Will, and Mike, respectively) chatted with Entertainment Tonight’s Lauren Zima about their thoughts on ending the show.

“I think we should stop whenever the story feels like it needs to be completed,” Matarazzo said. “I don’t think any story should be pushed. If there’s no more story, there’s no more story.”

So what’s the magic number of seasons “Stranger Things” should occupy? “Probably like, five,” Schnapp gives up.

Wolfhard jumps in with his opinion. “I think we only need one more to like, tie it all up. Either one or two more. At least one more to tie it all up,” he reveals.

Who knows if the boys’ answers are rooted in some upside down – I mean, underground – knowledge of the actual plans for the series? But it sure seems like the “Stranger Things” franchise is slowly coming to its close.

The boys stand by the fact that they themselves are pretty in the dark about how the show will conclude. Whenever they try to ask writers Matt and Ross Duffer about the show’s ending, the brothers refuse to give up any details.

The third season of “Stranger Things” will be available for streaming on Netflix on July 4th.
