Jennifer Lopez and Shakira Share Behind-the-Scenes Peek at Super Bowl Halftime Show

January 24, 2020

Shakira and Jennifer Lopez have sold out shows in some of the biggest arenas in the world, but next Sunday they’ll hit the stage for the first time at the most-watched television event of the year.

The Latina divas have been prepping for the Super Bowl LIV halftime show for months, and now that it’s just days away the two have been getting their fans excited on social media.

On Sunday Lopez showed off her “bling cup,” a glittery tumbler with the date of the Super Bowl encrusted on it in red, white, and blue rhinestones, on Instagram.

Jenny from the Block is encouraging her fans to participate in the JLo Super Bowl Challenge, a dance routine for her song “On The Floor,” on Tik Tok.

She also joked on Instagram that until the show starts she’ll “just be here on the 25 yard line waiting for my cue” as she tossed a microphone back and forth.

Meanwhile, Shakira has been posting countdown graphics on her Instagram account in between videos of her working out, both with trainers and with her two young sons in the background.

She also shared her trick to making her workouts count- she turns her phone off for her two-hour training sessions with Anna Kaiser, personal trainer to stars like Kelly Ripa and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Part of those workouts with Kaiser now include tossing a football back and forth in the gym with her newest collab, “Me Gusta” playing in the background. Can we expect Anuel AA, the reggaeton star on the track, to join her onstage at the halftime show?

The singers have been fairly tight-lipped about what surprises they have in store for the performance, but whether it’s a surprise appearance by Mr. 305 himself, an homage to Hispanic culture, or even a birthday celebration (it’s Shak’s 43rd and a giant cake rose from the stage every night during JLo’s “It’s My Party” tour), the one thing they are promising is “the show of a lifetime.”

The San Francisco 49ers will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, February 2 in Miami.
