Beyoncé and Bieber's Coachella Throwbacks Round up This Week in Music

April 12, 2019

This week, the music scene was dominated by tales of philanthropy and stars preparing for Coachella by reminiscing of festivals past.

All that buzzing in the air was the Beyhive going wild when Netflix dropped the first trailer for HomecomingBeyoncé’s behind-the-scenes documentary of her groundbreaking 2018 Coachella performance.

Fellow diva Taylor Swift only helped further her good Reputation as she donated $113K to the Tennessee Equality Project, which helps defend the LGBT community against, what the group deems, anti-equality measures making their way through the Tennessee legislature.

While Coachella headliner Ariana Grande upped her side hustle game by filing a trademark license for a line of bath and body products named after her hit album, “Thank U, Next.”

Someone else getting showered with affection is Mariah Carey, who’s set to receive the Icon Award at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.

And getting on the Coachella vibe was Justin Bieber, who posted an epic throwback photo on Instagram with Kendall Jenner from 2015.

The “Sorry” singer attended the festival that year with Jenner and his now-wife Hailey Baldwin. Back in the day, the photo stirred up whispers that Bieber and Jenner were more than just friends, but they quickly denied those rumors.

Now taking time to enjoy married life with Hailey, the 25-year-old recently announced his hiatus from music.

Guess we won’t be seeing any surprise Bieber performance at Coachella this year.
