“Can’t Have” features a heavier EDM approach than Pitbull’s past music. While the Latino flares that define his sound still exist, they’re overshadowed by shimmering synths and a big bass drop.

In the song, Pitbull looks at his rise from rags to riches. “First we shine the shoes/ Then we own the shoe shop/ First we make the sandwich/ Then we own the restaurant/ First we clean the house/ Then we own every house on the block/ Not bad for some immigrants,” he spits toward the end of the second verse.

“If you don’t know where you’re from, you don’t know where you’re going,” he told The Fader when speaking about the track. “If you don’t stand up for something, you’ll fall for anything.”

Climate Change drops in 2017. Hear “Can’t Have” below.
