The room, known as Sarah’s Attic, had been sealed since the 1906 earthquake.

The room was boarded up by Sarah Winchester – widow of the rifle fortune – after she believed the room was home to evil spirits that caused the quake.

Once it was opened, the team at the Winchester Mystery House found items including a pump organ, Victorian couch, dress form, sewing machine and paintings.

The Winchester Mystery House is an architectural oddity has 10,000 windows, 2,000 doors, 47 fireplaces, 40 staircases, 13 bathrooms, and nine kitchens.
