Swedish actress Noomi Rapace is in talks to portray Amy Winehouse in the biopic written by August Rush‘s director Kirsten Sheridan (via Screen Daily).

Tentatively titled Amy Winehouse, the film has not yet been sold, but reports show major interest, especially following the recent documentary hit, Amy, which investigates the singer’s troubled life and focuses especially on her relationship with her father.

Reports state that Winehouse’s father is also pursuing a separate project about his daughter.

Rapace rose to fame in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and more recently appeared in Prometheus. She’s no stranger to the music scene though. Three years ago, she starred in the Rolling Stones’ music video for “Doom and Gloom,” which you can watch below.
