Aulani Blog: Hawaiian Sunsets At Aulani

Hey, it’s Lauren! I’m with Jayn broadcasting live from Aulani in Hawaii!!

Last night, I watched the most colorful and entertaining sunset I think I’ve ever seen.

Around 5 I hopped in the lagoon and swam around, mostly keeping my eyes open for any more of those shirtless Hawaiian dancers running around. The best people watching, though, turned out to be all the gorgeous Aulani brides!! It’s so fun to hear the wedding bells and see the big gowns all while I have my toes in the sand.

When the sun was about to go down I hopped out of the lagoon and sat on the grass against a palm tree to watch. I swear, each night the sunset is a different color (tonight’s was pink), and it gets more vibrant as the sun gets closer to the edge of the ocean. The craziest part is that sunsets here are like a big NFL game – the turnout is great and there’s lots of cheering. I’ve never experienced a sunset quite like the ones here at Aulani.

It’s definitely worth a place on the bucket list!
