Will Smith stars as a doctor that takes on the NFL on the dangers of concussions in professional sports.
The film is based on a the true story of forensic neuropathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu who first discovered CTE, a football-related brain trauma.
The background story is derived from the GQ magazine article “Game Brain” by Jeanne Marie Laskas.
Smith is joined by an all star cast including Luke Wilson as NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and Albert Brooks and Alec Baldwin as Omalu’s colleagues.
Concussion is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2015.
