Justin Bieber will take the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night to debut his new single “What Do You Mean.” The multi-platinum superstar joins a long list of performers at the event including Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pharrell Williams, Demi Lovato, A$AP Rocky, Twenty One Pilots, and The Weeknd.
The highly anticipated performance will see Bieber return to VMA stage for the first time since 2010, when he sang a medley of his hits including “Baby,” “Somebody to Love” and “U Smile.”
Bieber’s new single, “What Do You Mean,” will be released on Friday, Aug. 28, just two days before he performs the track at the VMAs.
Yesterday it was announced that Kanye West will receive the Video Vanguard Award at the event, joining an impressive roster of artists including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, Guns N’ Roses, Beastie Boys, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce.
Miley Cyrus will host the big show, which of course beams out live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (Aug. 30) at 9pm (ET).
