The Blue Jean Committee – originally created on SNL – is the subject of the IFC channel mockumentary/parody series Documentary Now! and now it has spawned an actual record.

Fronted by Fred Armisen with Bill Hader on bass and background vocals, the fake band “reunited” on Late Night with Seth Meyers to perform the song “Catalina Breeze.”

The Blue Jean Committee originally appeared on an episode of Saturday Night Live back in 2011 with Armisen, host Jason Segel, Kenan Thompson, and Jason Sudeikis.

Described in their official bio as the “proud products of the late 70’s Northampton, Massachusetts music scene,” their 7 track 12″ record will be available via Drag City Records on November 20th, 2015.

Watch the group perform on Late Night with Seth Meyers and check out the tease for the Documentary Now! episode below.
