You might think you’re an ace in the kitchen, but are you really?
If you think you can whip up a meal unlike any other home chef de cuisine you know and you can weather some tough criticism, it’s time to put your skills to the test in front of a few of the culinary world’s finest: Christina Tosi, Graham Elliot, and of course, Gordon Ramsey.
“Masterchef”, the self-proclaimed “biggest cooking show” on television, is gathering their contestants for next season and to do so, the program’s producers are popping up in major cities around the United States — including San Francisco.
As of yet, there is no venue announced, but the competition will be held August 29, 2015. As most of the other city auditions are being held in hotels, it’s safe to assume that the Bay Area’s will also.
Also, you should plan to start just about finish your “signature dish” ahead of time. As the website advises, audition guests should “bring your food/ingredients to be finished and plated once you enter the audition room.:” They also advice that there will be no kitchen available to warm up the dish, nor will utensils be available, so cooks should “come prepared.”
For more information, head to the Masterchef auditions website. Good luck!
