Uh Oh. Looks Like Han Solo Was Married All Along!

By Bradford Hornsby

We all knew that Han Solo was a bit of a rogue and a playboy but we didn’t know that Han already had a better half named Sana Solo.

Sana was introduced in the latest official issue of comic Star Wars #5. The series timeline, written by Jason Aaron with art by John Cassaday, takes place between the original Star Wars: A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back.

In the issue, Sana shows up while Han and Leia are on a secret mission for the Rebellion.

“He’d just lie. It’s the only thing he’s ever been good at.” Says Sana in her introductory panel, “I should know. The name is Sana Solo. I’m his wife.”

It is unclear what the circumstances are or what the future of Sana is in the Star Wars cannon but it does shed Han and Leia’s relationship in a new light. It also shows that even in a “galaxy far, far away” that marriage, break-ups, and separations can still be a messy bit of business.

Star Wars # 5, featuring the debut of Sana Solo, is available in comic book stores and digitally at marvel.com.
