How often do you get to say you’re drinking beer for a good cause? Not often, probably, but lucky for you, this is one of those rare occasions.
The second annual Pints for Paws will be underway this Saturday, June 6 in Berkeley (at 1050 Parker Street at San Pablo Avenue and the corner of Tenth Street), all to benefit the Berkeley Humane Society. Unlike many other charity benefits, 100% of the proceeds raised at this event will go straight to the cause.
“Every dollar raised at the event will go directly to Berkeley Humane to save East Bay dogs’ and cats’ lives,” the Eventbrite page reads. “This event promises to find the intersections between the beer geek and animal lover communities.”
Over 20 breweries, winemakers, and cider crafters will be in attendance, as will a slew of local food purveyors and live music from 2 to 5 pm. All tasters are included in the admission price.
Plus, as would only be appropriate for this type of event, ticketholders are encouraged to bring along their pups!
Tickets are on sale now for $45-$50 (cash accepted at gate for day-of entrance), but you can also buy them online now.
