Good news true crime fans!
The hit podcast Serial will be making a big return to your earbuds this fall!
The series, made famous for its role in helping to draw attention to the inconsistencies in Adnan Syed’s murder case, has just received the green light for not one, but two more seasons beginning this fall.
The next seasons will study new cases respectively, and although we’re not sure yet what they’ll be, it seems that the producers of the show, Host Sarah Koenig and Executive Producer Julie Snyder, are already hard at work.
“This means we’re planning on a third season of Serial,” they wrote in a newsletter to fans this week. “And we hope it means we can reduce the amount of time between the end of Season Two and the beginning of Season Three.”
Season two will begin at some point in the fall, and season three will start in Spring 2016.
