Stephen Merchant Became Our ‘Hero’ After His Enrique Iglesias Impression on ‘Lip Sync Battle’: Watch

By Shannon Carlin

We already knew Stephen Merchant could get “Dirrty” like Christina Aguilera, but on last night’s (May 7) episode of Lip Sync Battle he became our hero.

Taking on Malin Akerman, who performed Def Leppard‘s “Pour Some Sugar On Me” in a black catsuit, Merchant had his work cut out for him, but with a little help from Enrique Iglesias, he proved he was up for the challenge.

For the first round, without any props, Merchant used everything he had to prove to us that truly was our hero, asking, “Would you dance, if I asked you to dance?” And honestly, we think we would.

Those intense stares really made us feel like he wanted to be our hero and would really kiss away the pain.

To see Merchant’s spot-on Iglesias impression, which includes a little Spanish and him making a man in the crowd very uncomfortable, go ahead to the 4:10 mark.
