Mad Scientist Splices Together Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘I Really Like You’ With Nine Inch Nails

By Alyssa Pereira

How long ago was it that we couldn’t get “Call Me Maybe” out of our heads?

It seems only too familiar that a mash up mad scientist spliced and melded together the infectious track with Nine Inch Nails’ “Head Like A Hole,” yet here we are, only a year after Carly Rae Jepsen’s track got the metal treatment, and deja vu is setting in.

This time around, Vimeo user yepimthetoaster took the same Nine Inch Nails song and added it basically seamlessly to Jepsen’s newest hit “I Really Like You”, thereby creating — wait for it — “I Really Like A Hole”. Cute, also weird.

As an added interlude, the mixmaster threw in a short quote from an old Reznor interview, just to give it some depth and extra weirdness.

Almost sounds like something Aqua made, doesn’t it?
