Like many Gen-Y kids with a faint interest in karate, I grew up with TV shows like “Power Rangers”. I know I’m not alone in reveling in that nostalgia, which is perhaps why the other Saturday morning cartooners and I can’t help but eat up anything having to do with old school programs as faster than you can say “Cinnamon Pop Tart.”

Luckily, as we all together grow up and become more talented adult individuals, we occasionally get cool things like this that scroll across our Facebook feeds.

Hillary White, one such fellow adult, is an exceptional illustrator who reveres characters of our yesteryear, including Boba Fett, Kermit the Frog, Grover, and of course, the Power Rangers. White melds together our favorite stars with classic portraits from the 1600-1800s to create warped new versions of all the Muppets and heroes we have loved, worshiped, and dressed as on Halloween.

Basically, these paintings are our new favorite things.

White kindly allowed us to show her latest collection, The Power Rangers. You can buy prints individually here at her website, or check her out on Facebook.
