Between all the hype about this year’s Avengers film and casting news for the next series of X-Men movies, it’s almost easy to forget that Marvel‘s original super team—the Fantastic Four—is getting a reboot this summer as well.
The last cinematic version of the FF is being wiped from the continuity—which is convenient, as Johnny (Human Torch) Storm was played by Chris Evans, who has since gone on to play Captain America.
In this new version, Miles Teller, costar of the Oscar-nominated Whiplash, plays Reed (Mr. Fantastic) Richards; Kate Mara of 24 and American Horror Story fame plays Susan (Invisible Woman) Storm; Michael B. Jordan, star of Fruitvale Station, plays Johnny Storm; and Jamie Bell from the TV series Turn plays Ben (The Thing) Grimm.
The trailer doesn’t show much FF action though; instead, it sets the scene for the team’s origin.
