Even if you were the kid who ate the one marshmallow instead of waiting for the two marshmallows, there’s hope. This according to Columbia University psychology professor Walter Mischel, the guy who did the first Marshmallow Test at Stanford’s Bing Nursery School in the 1960’s to measure self-control and delayed gratification. His new book is The Marshmallow Test: Mastering Self-Control.
