Krispy Kreme To Release ‘Ghostbusters’ Themed Doughnuts For Film’s 30th Anniversary

By Alyssa Pereira

Ghostbusters just turned 30 years old, and to celebrate the occasion, Krispy Kreme brought over some custom-made doughnuts over to our sister Los Angeles station, KROQ.

Beginning on September 29, the doughnut chain will premiere two new doughnuts for the Anniversary.

The first is Krispy Kreme’s “Ghostbusters”, a “marshmallow Kreme-filled shell topped with white icing, a decorative green ‘splat’ inspired by Slimer and a Ghostbusters logo sugar piece.” The second is the Stay Puft Marshmallow, “a marshmallow Kreme-filled shell topped with white icing, decorated with Stay Puft Marshmallow Man’s familiar face and a sugar piece hat.”

You can pre-order the doughnuts (hello, 2014) by calling in advance orders of five dozen or more.

Bonus points for eating them while watching the re-release of the film, available today on Blu-ray.

Here’s a sneak peek of what they look like:
