HBO’s ‘Looking’ Wants Extras in San Francisco and Oakland

By Alyssa Pereira

If you frequent certain hip areas of San Francisco, you may already have caught a glimpse of HBO crews filming “Looking” around town, but now you may be able to get even more involved.

Beau Brummel Casting, the organization responsible for casting the show’s extras, has a few very specific types of people they’re looking to portray in upcoming episodes.

For example, if you are Hispanic and have a “real, lived-in, interesting face to portray Mission resident”, you fit the bill for the role of a “Pupusa Cart Lady.” In addition, if you’re particularly comfortable with nudity in the woods, you might just have yourself a pretty swell gig as a LGBT Forest Party-goer in an upcoming shoot. You’ll be paid around $250 for 8 hours of hanging out naked.

Need a paid vacation? There’s a shoot in Guerneville coming up asking for “Bear types, cubs, chubs, otters, etc.” for a “Bear beach hangout in swim trunks.”

Filming will take place between September 3 and November 20, and you can check out all the roles up for grabs here.
