Inside Out, the Pixar flick starring a young girl named Riley who must readjust to her life following a move to San Francisco, won’t be out until next summer, but today the film’s creators gave us the first still of our main character, courtesy of their video streaming platform Disney Anywhere.
The site offers a sneak peek of the new film (which can’t be embedded here), and gives a short glimpse into the look of the movie.
Riley’s emotions are monitored and directed by the five emotions in her head: Joy (played by Amy Poehler), Fear (by Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). They help the 11-year-old though life:
The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
