Sorry lovers, that last match OKCupid set you up with might have been wrong…on purpose.
As the post kind of insensitively titled, “We Experiment on Human Beings!” goes, OKCupid co-founder Christian Rudder explained that some users were told they were 90% compatible with someone. The problem? They were actually not at all a match.
Rudder defended their actions, saying, “if you use the Internet, you’re the subject of hundreds of experiments at any given time, on every site. That’s how websites work.”
