Liz Saint John interviews three guests every Sunday morning covering a variety of issues and topics. She talks with representatives from Bay Area non-profit organizations, documentary filmmakers, authors, and professors.

1. Don Newton, a board member of Honor Flight Bay Area Foundation, talks about the organization that has chapters across the country with the mission of taking World War II veterans to Washington DC to visit the World War II Memorial. All arrangements and costs are taken care of by the foundation. Plans are already underway to transition to offering flights to Korean War and Vietnam War veterans to see their memorials in the nation’s capitol.

2. Author Jojo Moyes talks about her career as a journalist and the transition to novelist. She explains where she gets inspiration for her books, the research she does for each book, and the screenplay she’s working on to take her novel Me Before You to the big screen. He latest book is One Plus One.

3.Journalist Anneli Rufus explains how she grew up feeling bad about herself and how she began researching self-esteem and eventually, through hard work, started feeling better about herself. In her new book Unworthy: How to Stop Hating Yourself, Rufus talks with researchers, psychologists, and people with low self-esteem about the possible causes of low self-esteem and offers suggestions on how to stop the cycle of feeling bad about oneself.
