‘America’s Next Top Model’ alum Yaya DaCosta has earned herself the role of the iconic pop diva Whitney Houston.
Though she was runner-up in the CW show, it looks like she’s winning after all, taking on a big challenge in the made-for-TV movie, called I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story. Angela Bassett will direct.
DaCosta has previously worked on ‘All My Children’ in 2008, and on ‘Ugly Betty.’ She has also appeared in a few films, including Lee Daniels’ The Butler and Tron: Legacy.
They haven’ t yet announced who will play Bobby Brown, but the movie will tell the story of their relationship “from the time they first met at the very height of their celebrity, to their courtship and tumultuous marriage.”

The movie will premiere sometime in 2015.
