Do you love music? Duh, you’re reading this, so you must. Great, we have good news for you.
Maybe you missed the inaugural Bay Area Record Fair (nicknamed B.A.R.F., because of course it is) the first time around in February, which sucks, but luckily, the folks over at Professional Fans and Father/Daughter Records are bringing you a second installment to take place on Saturday, September 27 at (and in the perimeter of) Thee Parkside. Where last time, the event was held entirely inside and on the patio at the Smission (SOMA + Mission) venue, this time, they’re going to block off parts of Carolina Street to make room for even more vendors.
In addition, they’re releasing a limited amount of early bird tickets for $5 which will include admission into the fair an hour before everyone else to scope out your picks.
They’re booking live music all day (bands TBA), running raffles, and will have DJs spinning. The best part? It’s free.
If you’re not able to make this one, you can still catch B.A.R.F. this Thursday at NightLife at the Academy of Sciences or next weekend at Phono Del Sol. At both dates, they’ll be selling $10 BARF bags containing a button, sticker, and 21 song compilation CD of bands representing the participating labels—with all proceeds to maintain the free price of the Fair.
