It has been a weird week in news from a sequel 20 years late, some dumb thing said by a Governor, and a terrifying shark encounter, but we scooped up all of it and bundled it here nicely just for you!

Check out this week’s buzziest stories below.

The Trailer for Dumb and Dumber To is Released

Twenty years after Dumb and Dumber descended upon movie audiences, we finally have a sequel to the classic comedy starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels (we’re choosing to forget that other one happened). The sequel revolves around the duo on a search for Harry’s long-lost children. The furry van, of course, makes a comeback as well.

Texas Governor Rick Perry Comes to San Francisco and Compares Homosexuality to Alcoholism

Oh, Rick. What were you thinking? Really, in what part of your Texas brain did you think you could come to San Francisco, the home base of the ideals of love, equality and tolerance, and think it would go over well to compare homosexuality to alcoholism? We hope you weren’t banking on San Francisco’s votes for your likely Presidential run, because it’s not looking great for you.

Man Fights off A Great White Shark and Gets it on Tape

A man, hanging with some friends in Sydney Harbour, Australia takes a leap off a rock into the water below. Immediately after coming up for air, he realizes he’s not the only one nearby. Yikes.

Traveler Stuck Solo in Las Vegas Airport Commemorates His Loneliness With A Song

A man stuck in a Las Vegas airport overnight did what nearly zero other people would do in his shoes—make a video. The traveler recorded a cover of Celine Dion’s “All By Myself” on escalators, bathrooms and wherever else appealed to him. The best part? Celine Dion saw it, loved it, and invited him to her show next time he’s in town. That long night might just have been worth it, no?

The World Cup is Kicked Off in Brazil

Thousands and thousands of people flocked to Brazil for the World Cup, which is finally underway. Our own US Men’s National Team may not have as good a shot as favorites like Spain, Mexico, or host team Brazil, but hey, we’re American. We love a good underdog story, especially when it stars us! U.S.AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
