Liz Saint John interviews three guests every Sunday morning covering a variety of issues and topics. She talks with representatives from Bay Area non-profit organizations, documentary filmmakers, authors, and professors.

1.Science writer Murray Carpenter talks about his research about coffee, tea, caffeinated sports drinks and sodas for his new book Caffeinated: How Our Daily Habit Helps Us, Hurts Us, and Hooks Us. he discusses the history of coffee and tea, the medical uses, the withdrawal from caffeine, and the best way to brew coffee at home.

2. Jason Padgett, a furniture salesman and self-described slacker, was violently mugged in 2002 and suffered a traumatic brain injury that caused him to get acquired savant syndrome. Along with his new math abilities, he suffered extreme agoraphobia and OCD. He talks about his journey in his new book Struck by Genius: How a Brain Injury Made Me a mathematical Marvel.

3. Thriller writer John Lescroart explains how more than 20 of the best thriller writers got paired up to write short stories featuring well-known characters from their other books. The new anthology is titled Faceoff. Lescroart also talks about the art of writing and the difference between a thriller and a mystery.
