Entertainment heavyweights and sports icons are banding together today for “No Guns Allowed,” a non-partisan anti-gun violence campaign and partnership between Snoop Dogg and the League of Young Voters. The event will take place in SoMa in San Francisco today for the campaign, which aims to raise awareness about gun violence It was inspired by Snoops single (of the same name) off his recent album, Reincarnated.
Snoop will be in attendance, as well as Joe Montana, sf.citi founder Ron Conway, former Mayor Willie Brown, MC Hammer, Ronnie Lott, swimmer Diana Nyad, and Dr. Robert “Biko” Baker, the Executive Director of the League of Young Voters Education fund, with whom Snoop is partnering with for this event.
Snoop Lion, or Dogg (whichever you call him) will hold a silent auction of his paintings and other items to benefit the initiative, as well as his Youth Football League, which is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this fall.
“No Guns Allowed” by Snoop features Drake and Snoop’s daughter Cori B, and addresses the issues surrounding gun violence.
