Asian American Women Artists Association Presents “Eating Cultures”

Asian American Women Artists Association and Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center present Eating Cultures, a new multimedia art exhibit that runs through the end of May at SOMArts Cultural Center in San Francisco.

The show features more than 50 art, film, and literary works by emerging and established artists. It will also feature a Community Recipe Wall and Asian American oral histories.

Eating Asian American Panel Discussion is May 10th, 2pm-4pm, co-presented by the Culinary Historians of Northern California.

Literary Sriracha on May 17th, 2pm-4pm, is a spicy mix of poetry, mini-memoirs, and flash fiction, co-presented by Asia Society.

The Closing Reception is May 30th, 6pm-9pm, and features a cooking-as-art performance, a community potluck, and an art pop-up store.
