The Pony Express Equine Assisted Skills for Youth program has been in Santa Rosa for decades, helping teenage young women.

Linda Aldrich, the director, started the program as she recognized that horse assisted therapy can often help teen through difficult problems and feelings. And Linda also recognized the need to give neglected horses, or horses who were not in ideal circumstances, a new home and new mission in life.

All the pieces cam together and now Linda works with a number of teens and horses throughout the year, resulting in positive new outlooks by the human and equine participants!

The organization always needs money to help support the horses and donations of certain goods are also gladly accepted. You can reach Linda through their website:

Another way you can help is by attending the upcoming fundraiser on November 19th at the Lagunitas Taproom & Beer Sanctuary.
