Sunday Magazine With Liz Saint John 04.28.2013

Liz Saint John interviews three guests every Sunday morning covering a variety of issues and topics. She talks with representatives from Bay Area non-profit organizations, documentary filmmakers, authors, and professors.

1. Laney College writing teacher Judy Juanita discusses her novel “Virgin Soul” that is set in the 60’s in Oakland during the civil rights movement.

2. Linda Inson Choy is the curator of the upcoming art exhibition “Undercurrents & the Quest for Space” presented by the Asian American Women Artists Association and Leslie Zeitler is a literary artist participating in the show. They talk about the art and the theme of the show.

3. Seneca Family of Agenices’ Foster Parent Liaison Jennifer Saur and former foster child and current foster parent Dione Mason discuss the current number of foster children in the Bay Area, how they are placed, what training and resources and offered by Seneca and the processĀ  of becoming a foster parent.
