The Marin Humane Society in Novato offers refuge, rehabilitation, and support to more than 10,000 domestic animals and wildlife every year. In addition to animal adoptions, the Marin Humane Society offers classes in animal behavior and training, pet assistance for people in need, lost-and-found pet services, low-cost clinics, and more.

The Marin Humane Society is a finalist in the ASPCA Rachel Ray $100,000 Challenge.  They’re trying to adopt out dogs and cats and reunite lost pets with their people in greater numbers this August, September and October than during those months in 2011. if they do win the big prize or one of the lesser cash prizes, they plan to increase outreach and the number of spay/neuter surgeries offered by their vet clinic.

During the month of August, you can name your own adoption fee!

Woofstock, a big adoptathon and party event at the Novato facility, takes place September 15th, 10am to 7pm.

The Marin Humane Society will take part in the Bay Area Pet Fair and Adoptathon is october 13th and 14th at the Marin Civic center Fairgrounds in San Rafael.
