Sure she’s been busy winning Billboard Music awards and rehearsing for her Speak Now tour, but [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] found time to contribute to tornado-victim relief. On Saturday, she opened up her final dress rehearsal to the public and donated all of the proceeds to the Community Foundation of Tennessee!
Swift came up with the idea when one of her backup dancers from Alabama showed her pictures of his destroyed home. She thought, “Here we are at a rehearsal, in an arena, with empty seats. What if we fill those seats?” Over 13,000 people came to the last-minute event, which she called “Speak Now, Help Now.”
Taylor was so enthusiastic, reminding us why we adore her. She profusely thanked fans for coming, and later tweeted that she had the time of her life playing that show.
