Decorate your eggnog with alcoholic whipped cream, or “whipahol”, this holiday season. The booze-infused topping comes in several festive flavors and contains three times the alcohol content of beer or wine. Guess what? There’s a controversy brewing.
Concerned parents and teen anti-drinking organizations have condemned the products, likening them to alcoholic energy drinks like FourLoko, and labeling them a danger to children and young people. In spite of the controversy, or maybe because of it, Cream and Whipped Lightning brand alcohol-infused whipped creams have been flying off liquor store shelves.
