Lady Gaga VMAs

MTV’s Video Music Awards did not disappoint. From the amazing performances to the outrageous outfits, the VMAs once again amazed audiences. Did you miss the star-studded night?  Want to relive the greatest hits? The winners are all right here.

[lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] was the big winner out of the gate. Before the show started, Gaga won Best Dance Video with “Bad Romance” and Best Collaboration for “Telephone”  (featuring [lastfm]Beyonce[/lastfm]).  Moments after host Chelsea Handler finished her monologue, Gaga won again! This time the pop star won Best Female Video for “Bad Romance.”

Just when the awards show was about to turn into the Lady Gaga Hour, [lastfm]30 Seconds To Mars[/lastfm] won Best Rock Video for “Kings and Queens.”  [lastfm]Eminem[/lastfm] then won Best Male Video (and later) Best Hip Hop video for “Not Afraid.”   The megastar opened the night with a performance of the song, but did not stay to accept his awards.

As the program wore on, Lady Gaga changed outfits before accepting the Best Pop Video award for “Bad Romance” from Jane Lynch and the rest of the “[lastfm]Glee[/lastfm]” cast. Between Lady Gaga wardrobe changes and acceptance speeches [lastfm]Justin Bieber[/lastfm] not only performed (ie lip synched) a but won Best New Artist for his video “Baby” (featuring [lastfm]Ludacris[/lastfm]).

As the evening came to a close, Gaga continued her (almost) sweep by winning Video of the Year for… you guessed it “Bad Romance.”  During her speech, she revealed the title of her newest album “Born This Way” and even performed a few bars. Is she already trying to butter up the voters for next year’s awards?  Tell us what you think in the comments below.
