Take the whole family and join veterans and the community for the traditional Memorial Day Commemoration at the Presidio in San Francisco.
10:30 – Noon
10:30 AM March begins.
11 AM Program and 21-gun salute by the U.S. Army’s 5th Brigade 75th Division.
Parking near the Presidio Officers’ Club, 50 Moraga Avenue, on the Main Post.
Attend Memorial Day ceremonies on board the USS Hornet aircraft carrier in Alameda. There will be a wreath-laying ceremony following the service. Tours of the ship happen during regular hours 10 AM – 5 PM throughout the weekend.
1 PM Sevice begins.

In Marin this weekend take the older kids for Film Night In the Park, a unique experience for its audience with cheers for heroes, boos for villains, sing-a-longs and more. Good old fashion fun, at an affordable price. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic basket, and head to Creek Park, the 400 block of Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San Anselmo.

In San Francisco’s Mission District, it’s Carnaval. One of the city’s most colorful celebrations, showcasing Latin American and Caribbean cultures and traditions. Enjoy a variety of food, music, dance, and artistry with this year’s theme, Colors Of Sound; Splashes Of Culture. Parents, please be aware that attire at the festival can be a bit risque.
Festival is Saturday & Sunday, 10 AM – 6 PM, and takes place on Harrison between 16th and 22nd Streets.
Parade is Sunday, 9:30 AM, begins at Bryant & 24th and heads down Mission to 17th.
